This guy could sell a refrigerator to an Eskimo

The I Team investigation of R.C.Anderson has been going on for three years now.
He's one of the better "con" men I've have come across. "He seems so honest" "I thought it was the real deal" "He's nice” This is the sad lament of Anderson's numerous victims, out $600,000 to date. At least, that's the victims the police know about. I suspect there are even more life savings lost to this guy.

Confidence-a noun. 1.full trust 2.self-reliance, assurance, or boldness.

If ever a term applied to a local hustler, it's this case. What he is hustling varies but its pretty much revolves around an idea that has some merit. RC does his snake charming thing, building confidence, squeezing money out of believers until they finally wake up and realize he is really a confidence man. .

Anderson is the subject of an I Team story airing on December 19th (Video) and also the centerpiece of two prior stories reported on by our team. Reporter Elizabeth Sanchez pulls back the curtain on his latest venture in Las Vegas but be warned, a source tells me RC is working on new scheme here in San Diego. Get all the details in Elizabeth's story on 10News at 11pm.

Anderson is one bold dude, using politicians in Los Angeles and Las Vegas to help open doors and legitimize whatever he is selling. And when the money disappears, RC has more excuses than a husband whose forgot his anniversary. But he seems to be able to keep working the suckers, whether they are in Phoenix, Las Vegas, Sacramento or right here America's finest. Anderson is one of those characters you have to wonder about. With his energy and creativity, he would have been one good legit businessman, if only he tried. But I don't think he has it in him. Word is, he likes living large.

It would be a free ride for RC, except for our stories and one very persistent cop. He's SDPD Detective Arthur W. DuBois. If I was a con man, this is the last guy I want to see in my rear view mirror. I hope that Mercedes that RC drives doesnt have any mirrors, he's going to see something he will not like. While Mr.Con has managed to stay a step ahead of the law up to now, DuBois is all over him like seventy five dollar Hong Kong suit. Check out the million dollar arrest warrant I've included with this blog. It's signed by the detective and gives you an idea of what a scoundrel RC Anderson is and how hard DuBois is looking for him. Here's hoping RC spends New Years in the lock up downtown.
